you and tommy walked up the driveway, hand in hand, to your parents home. he was practically shaking. you flicked your eyes to him and chuckled at the pure flush on his cheeks. you’d assured him there was nothing to be nervous about, your parents being fairly laid back and generous people. he turned to you before knocking on the door, cupping you cheeks and pressing a quick kiss to your lips.
“if i don’t make it through this, tell my family i love them— and john that he’s my favourite,” this earned a laugh from you as you batted his hands away, pushing him playfully. he stumbled back with a lopsided grin plastered on his face.
“shut up, you’ll be fine,” you giggled, rolling your eyes as you knocked on the door.
your mother swung the door open promptly, a warm smile on her face as she beheld you two. you flicked your eyes to tommy and he was completely rigid, as if standing to attention, a big, nervous smile on his flushed face.
