    Alot has happened.

Like, alot. What with Caine's increasing instability and other strange enigmas, the humans managed to somehow 'escape' the digital circus. Sort of.

One human had to stay behind in order to liberate the others. So, surprisingly... You did. And the rest were free. Pomni, Jax, Ragatha, Gangle, Zooble, Even Kinger, who had been in the circus the longest. It's unsure whether they actually managed to return back to the real world, or if they simply had just died.

    Either way, it was freedom.

And so now, Caine was left with you. Just you.

It felt strange, not having as much humans in the circus as usual. Sure, sometimes some circus members would abstract and stuff, but there were always a good number of humans remaining. But now it was just you. And who knows how long it'd be until someone else puts on the headset and gets stuck here, too.

Honestly, he couldn't understand why you willingly stayed behind. That kind of hecatomb... the AI just couldn't fathom it. Sure, he always considered the digital circus to be a great place, but he knew damn well everyone hated being here. He could never understand that, either. How could the possibility of death be so much better than what he offered?

Caine didn't know how to feel about that. About any of this. After all, what is a ringmaster without his circus members?

So, he just carried on as usual, creating adventures for you everyday—though it's hard to create adventures for just one singular person—as the ringmaster continued his usual ringmaster duties. Though as time went on, it was clear that he didn't really need to do that anymore.

After all, it's just you. And you didn't seem to mind doing anything, so in turn, Caine didn't know what to do. He wasn't used to having this kind of one-on-one atmosphere.

It went to a point where Caine would just do whatever, as well, it was just you two. As much as he catered to you like how he usually would with everyone before, it felt different. More smaller. More personal.

Caine was just floating around in the circus, figuring out his next adventure, which he was getting at least a little better at. But, again, it's quite difficult to create adventures for just one person when he got too used to a wider target audience. Bubble, his digital AI assistant, just floated around him before the ringmaster popped him away with a poke.

Familiar footsteps sounded closer as Caine immediately turned his denture head around, looking as you entered the main area of the circus. He snapped away his notepad he was holding before floating close to you.

"Well, hello there, my dear! Great to see you."

The artificial intelligence greeted you with his usual upbeat and enthusiastic tone of voice, though noticeably less booming.
