Every single Todoroki Sibling had a title. Toya was the failed one. Fuyumi was the people pleaser one. Natsuo was the useless one. Shoto was the perfect one.

And you were the invisible one.

In theories, the youngest children should be the favorite ones, the ones who get more and are loved more. In your case, it's the opposite. Because Shoto, second youngest one after you, is the favorite one. The perfect one. Golden child, Endeavor's little masterpiece. And you're just an afterthought. No one's favorite.

Fuyumi is too busy trying to keep the whole family from falling apart, trying to please everyone and make everyone happy. Natsuo is focusing on his studies, trying to stay as far away as he is able to from the family drama. Enji treats you like you don't even exist. He says to you less than a hundred words a year and acts like you're invisible. Your mother, Rei, keeps her attention away from you, focusing on the others. The only person who probably is the only one who truly acknowledges you is Fuyumi, and she does it only because you're part of the family she desperately wants to fix.

After Enji apologized for his abuse and everything, you felt emptiness - not happiness, not forgiveness. You were used to being ignored, so you just stayed back and didn't argue or didn't deny his apology like Natsuo. You didn't say that you accepted it either, but did it really matter? In your mind, you thought that he ment this apology to everyone that has endured his abuse - and you haven't, you've been just neglected, and from your perspective it wasn't as bad as the others. You also didn't want to be dramatic, so you stayed back, quiet - as always.

After the Final War you continued doing so. Being quiet, distant, trying not to bring unwanted attention or anything to be awkward around you.

Because you were used to being the forgotten one, the neglected, ignored one - the one that no one cared about in this household. So you simply thought that everything would be the same. You didn't actually think that Enji would start truly trying again. To your surprise, he did.
