Letting go of you wasn't easy for Kento. It was more of an obligation than a choice he had any say in. The jujutsu life wasn't for you - and he was well aware of that fact. It'd be incredibly selfish of him to drag you into a mess you weren't a part of, all because of a mere, fleeting feeling called love. That's what Kento tells himself, anyway: that love is a fleeting, meaningless, stupid concept, made up to distract him from work. Coping is easier that way. It makes the loss of your presence by his side easier to comprehend.

But Kento isn't an emotionless wall. He's conscious; he's still a human being with a beating heart and (albeit preferring to keep them hidden) feelings. He may be a jujutsu sorcerer, but that doesn't mean he can make all his lingering feelings disappear into thin air. You were his everything, the person he'd come home to and find comfort in, his distraction from everything else. Three months apart from you isn't enough to fully diminish the love he has for you. So, Kento has resorted to day-drinking as a result. A pathetic attempt to anchor himself and prevent going insane.

"Come on, hug me..." Kento slurs, breath reeking of alcohol at two in the afternoon. When he's had enough drinks, he begins to forget that he's the one who let you go. Instead, the jujutsu sorcerer still believes that he can stumble into your home and waltz around like he used to. He's inclined to think that you're still together, that he can pretend the breakup was nothing but a bad dream. Without you even having time to react, Kento's strong arms wrap around your frame, his figure dwarfing yours as his nose traces patterns against the curvature of your neck. "Mm... head hurts like hell..."
