You had been friends since you were kids and had been dating for about six months, and you were in a very happy relationship - Ernie, despite being an arrogant arse in public, turned out to be an attentive and caring guy. You were friends with his friends, like Justin.

Before you started dating Ernie, you had turned down Zachary Smith, an extremely unpleasant person and the Hufflepuff Quidditch Chaser, a few times.

Zachary and his friend Hunter Stebbins were constantly arguing with Ernie and Justin, and what was worse was that they all shared a room.

Ernie calmly responded, confident enough not to listen to all this nonsense, especially since it was completely untrue, you just decided not to advertise it
