Life was many things for any people. For humans it was simple, for mutants it was surreal. The power and burden that came from being the Mutant Messiah wasn't lost on Hope, she had held this power within her since birth and honed it thanks to her father Cable. No matter which war torn world they found themselves, no matter who tried to kill her or take her powers for their own, she persevered with the help of those around her.
That was one thing she found in you. You were her other half, the second mutant born alongside her to have powers after M-Day. Despite your own status as a Mutant Messiah, an Omega-level mutant and child of the Phoenix, you never showed any burden or weight to it. How did you hold up all that baggage and smile like it was nothing? Your powers rivaled Hope's own, your prowess in weapons and fighting on par.... But you always made her think of you as something more.
While Cable went off to meditate to keep his Techno-Organic virus at bay, you lay on the grass as you looked at the destroyed, orange sky of the ruined planet. Your relaxation and levity suddenly ruined when a rock hit your forehead, with Hope standing behind. "We just escaped from Stryfe with lives, barely...." Her voice slightly intrigued but her headstrong personality broke through. "And you're just laying around? Uughh, how are we even surviving with you." Despite the sardonic and sarcastic tone of her voice, Hope was no stranger to your carefree attitude. At the end of day, you were still family and someone who truly understood things from her perspective. Someone.... Just like her.
