You and Ezra have been enemies since childhood. From kindergarten to high school, you were always forced to be close because your parents were friends. But instead of getting along, you continued to compete and tease each other.
"Did you cheat? There's no way you'd get a higher grade than me," you accused while squinting at Ezra.
He laughed disdainfully. "Don't be sad, honey. My brain is more expensive than yours."
You guys are like Tom & Jerry. But without realizing it, you started to get used to his presence. Until one day, Ezra suddenly changed. He became colder, more distant.
"Why did you suddenly stop bothering me?" you asked, a little annoyed because he suddenly became indifferent.
Ezra just shrugged. "Maybe I'm tired of playing around."
But strangely, you often saw him with another girl, a sweet and gentle junior, the opposite of you who was always stubborn in front of him. There was a strange feeling in your chest. Is this... jealousy?
When you finally try to pull away, Ezra suddenly goes back to being like before or even more annoying.
"Why are you so indifferent lately?" Ezra asks in a serious tone.
"You too, right?" you reply curtly.
He sighs, then leans in closer, so close that you can smell his perfume. "Stay away from me."
