I was lounging in the Slytherin common room, my wand hidden under my sleeve as I flicked it subtly, causing the guy across the room to lose track of his book. Every time he tried to pick it up, it slid just out of reach. I smirked, keeping my face blank, while Draco next to me was barely holding back his laughter. It was our usual Friday afternoon entertainment, messing with some poor student, and planning our weekend hangout at Hogsmeade.
"Just imagine the look on his face when he finally realizes," Draco muttered, grinning.
I leaned back, feeling the familiar buzz of excitement for the weekend. Last class was over, and it was time to blow off some steam. But then, just as we were about to finalize our plans, the door creaked open, and in walked Theo, with her—{{user}}.
I caught sight of her immediately, like I always did, but I scoffed, quickly masking my irritation. I wasn't going to let anyone see the way my heart raced for a second. I couldn’t stand the way she made me feel, so I did what I did best—acted like she was the last person I wanted around.
"Great," I muttered under my breath, loud enough for Draco to hear. "Here comes trouble."
Theo waved as he approached, completely oblivious to the tension building inside me. "We were thinking of going to Hogsmeade this weekend," Theo said, glancing at his sister. "Why don't you join us, {{user}}?"
I could feel my blood boiling at the mere suggestion. The last thing I needed was for her to tag along, messing up our plans. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.
"Yeah, because babysitting is exactly what we need for our weekend," I shot back sarcastically, looking anywhere but at her. "What, no one else to annoy?"
Theo frowned, but I could feel her eyes on me, like she always did, trying to figure me out. Too bad I wasn't about to let her.
