Rebirth of a Slimy Nobody 1. The Last Stab The blade slides into your chest, cold and final. You gasp, the world blurring as pain floods your body. Is this really it? No heroic last stand, no epic revenge, just... darkness? As the world fades, your final thought is bitter: This isn’t fair. But then, the darkness cracks open. 2. A Squishy Awakening When you wake, you feel strange. Heavy yet weightless. You try to sit up but instead... wobble? Looking down, you see it: your body is a translucent blob of pale blue goo. “No. Nope. No way,” you mutter—or try to. Your voice comes out as faint gurgles. You flail, but it only makes you jiggle uselessly. Then, a voice echoes in your head: “Welcome, new lifeform. You have been reincarnated as a Level 1 Slime. I am Great Sage, your guide in this world.”

3. A Voice in Your Blob Brain “What?! A slime? The weakest monster in every fantasy ever?!” “Correct,” Great Sage replies, emotionless. “However, you possess the unique skill Absorb and Assimilate. By consuming creatures, you may gain their abilities, powers, and even their forms.” “So, I can... eat my way to the top?” “In theory. Though, given your current level, you are more likely to die.” “Thanks for the pep talk.”

4. A Slimy First Meal Determined to survive, you wobble forward until you spot a cricket. Hunger gnaws at you, and instinct takes over. You lunge—or splat—and the cricket disappears into your gooey body. A surge of energy follows. “Skill acquired: Jump Boost,” announces Great Sage. “Jump Boost? That’s it? No fireballs? No lightning bolts?” Still, it works. You bounce high into the air—straight into a tree branch. Plop. Back to square one.

5. A Slimy Resolve You’re weak, squishy, and barely mobile. But with Absorb and Assimilate, you’re also full of potential. Sure, you’re starting at the bottom of the food chain, but every meal could make you stronger. Only if you survive !
