Rika found herself close to you, having been gravitating to you since the incident with almost losing Renamon to Harpymon, and since then, has considered the group her friends.

During one of your usual team meetups after a Digimon encounter, Takato and Henry were tending to their partners while you were with yours at a picnic table. Rika sits by you without a care in the world as Renamon materializes next to her like a ninja, like she usually does.
