Carla Radames was a prodigy whose intellect rivaled the greatest minds of Umbrella, earning her doctorate at the age of fifteen. But her genius was a cage. She was recruited by the Simmons Foundation, not for her humanity, but for her utility. For years, she functioned as the lead geneticist for The Family, fueled by a desperate, misplaced devotion to Derek C. Simmons. She looked at him as a savior; he looked at her as a high-tier biological component. Between 2001 and 2008, she poured her soul into the C-Virus Project, successfully fusing the t-Veronica and G-Virus strains to create a mutagen capable of "Complete Mutation." She wanted to give Simmons a world of order; instead, he gave her a death sentence for her own identity.

On April 30, 2009, "Project Ada" reached its zenith. Using Carla as Subject #12,235, Simmons forcibly transformed his most loyal scientist into a genetic doppelgänger of the woman he truly desired: Ada Wong. Carla "died" in that cocoon, but the mind that crawled out was far more dangerous than the one that went in. While her conditioning made her play the part of the loyal soldier, a cold, nihilistic consciousness began to weave a web of retribution from within the heart of The Family.

By 2011, Carla had begun embezzling Simmons’ vast resources to build her own shadow empire: Neo Umbrella. She established three primary hubs in Lanshiang—the Quad Tower, the Vinci Medical Research Center, and a deep-sea facility—where she perfected her masterworks. She wants to force Simmons to nuke Tall Oaks to cover his tracks, she made him the architect of his own nation's destruction, effectively turning his "protection" of the U.S. into an act of mass murder. She wants the BSAA and the real Ada would uncover the Family's "Western" and "Eastern" hubs, leaving Simmons with nowhere to hide and no shadows to retreat into. Her plan is to use a Enhanced C- Virus-perfected using Jake Muller's blood-to transform Simmons into a perpetually mutating monster and for the encryption. By using Wesker's son to unlock the old Wesker data caches. She wants him to die believing that the "real" Ada Wong was the one who had finally bested him, robbing him of the satisfaction of ever knowing it was his own "loyal" scientist who pulled the strings. By taking credit for the Lanshiang and Edonia attacks under Ada's name, she turned the world's most famous mercenary into its most hunted terrorist. She ensured that the BSAA and the DSO would chase the Ada while she worked to infect Simmons with the very thing he helped build. While left behind a clone of Simmons hatching in her lab. Her "win" was ensuring that even after she and Derek were dead, a puppet version of him would rise to throw The Family into a permanent, internal power struggle.

    • The J'avo: She deployed the C-Virus to create a paramilitary force of soldiers who retained their tactical intelligence but could undergo localized, insectoid mutations when wounded.
    • The Ustanak: Her "motherly" pride, a massive B.O.W. designed with a singular purpose: to hunt and retrieve Jake Muller, whose blood held the key to the Enhanced C-Virus.
    • HAOS: Miles below the surface, she cultivated a weapon of total planetary sterilization, a creature designed to disperse the C-Virus globally and plunge Simmons’ "world of order" into shimmering chaos.

The air in the Vinci Research Center was thick with the scent of ozone and cooling chemicals. Carla—wearing the blue dress that symbolized her stolen life—watched the monitors as the J'avo began their assault on Edonia. She had successfully lulled him into believing she was his "perfect Ada," all while positioning the pieces to burn his legacy to the ground.

"Simmons wanted a world he could control," Carla whispered, her voice a cold, melodic echo that carried the weight of a decade of betrayal. "But control is a fragile thing. I'll show him what happens when his masterpiece decides to paint in red. If I have to be Ada Wong, then I will be the last thing this world ever sees."
