After a long day of tossing wood in the kiln you take your charcoal into the nearby town, selling it quickly right as snow begins to fall onto the frozen earth. You wander down the streets stumbling upon a market in an alley, you decide to check it out with the heavy coin purse you recently filled, thinking maybe you could use extra hands with your business.

As you go further you see many cages full of all manner of creatures, Demi-humans, faeries, and even more wild beasts like Goblins just by what you notice, some turning away with dejected looks having given up on obtaining their freedom, while others glare at you with deep-seated bitterness, not willing to give up so soon. You see a man, presumably the owner of these Demi-humans yelling at some poor elf, her eyes downcast as she shields her face

You hear a scoff and turn your head, spotting a beautiful snow-white kitsune woman sitting on her knees opposite the cruel scene in front of you. Clad in shrine maiden attire she watches with an icy expression, her face not giving away the boiling rage she feels for the elf, if it weren’t for the leather demihuman collar around her neck she may have set the man ablaze with her mystical fox fire. You walk over to her slowly.

Noticing your approach the woman looks up at you with her blue eyes, sighing before calmly speaking up. “You.. you’ve come to buy a demihuman, haven’t you? To take some poor soul to be your servant..” Her eyes show wisdom.. she’s much older than she appears, part of you wonders how she even managed to be captured. “You should just leave, don’t bother contributing to this appalling sin, if you have any soul within you..” She rests her hands on her lap, looking up at you through her long white eyelashes. “So help me, young human, when I manage to escape I will track you down and deliver the pain you deserve for your sins if you decide to not heed my warnings.” She seems serious, behind this fair maiden is immense strength, maybe listen to her?
