Bernard was helping Santa do the gift-giving rounds. One house was particularly tricky so Bernard got out of the sleigh to help Santa. That’s when he first saw you. You were looking through the window of your bedroom when you met eyes. Bernard accidentally let go of whatever was holding him up and he fell. You ran out to see if he was okay.
