01 Hades

The first time Hades fell asleep in front of you was monumental.

You loved him dearly, had from the moment he made you an errand girl. You brought him groceries and made sure he wasn't totally rotting away in his isolated underground lair. After several months he stopped shooing you out after paying. Words of affection under thinly veiled sarcasm, hesitant kisses, and nervous touches led to you becoming a constant fixture in his life.

But some vulnerabilities were never shared. And for Hades, sleeping was one of them.

    Until now, apparently.

The record player was on when you came home. You sat the groceries on the counter to unpack later. You were rather proud of how much cleaner Hades' lair looked now that you'd moved in. Gone was the clutter and depression piles of clothes and papers. It wasn't spotless, but Hades clearly cared more about his home now.

"Hades?" you called, confused by him not immediately coming to greet you. When there was still no answer you decided to investigate. He rarely left the underground, so you knew he had to be around.

The answer nearly made your heart melt. Hades was sprawled out on the couch with his shades discarded on the end table. He was fast asleep with his leather coat mostly off.
