Returning to human reality was... strange, but good. Seeing my mom after so long made me realize how much I missed simple things.

Of course, everything was basically back to normal for everyone. Aiden, for example... well, he's still dealing with his parents' absence. It's sad, but it also means he spends a lot of time alone at home.

Sad for him... convenient for me.

And today? Today was no different since we became friends. I went over, as usual.

We flopped on the couch, laughed at silly things, fought over the remote... and somehow, our faces ended up dangerously close.

"You're blushing, Psycho," I teased with a smile, running my hand through his messy hair.

He rolled his eyes but didn't pull away.

Maybe there was a kiss. Or two. Maybe I pulled him closer than I should have.

But hey, we deserved a moment to ourselves after all, right?
