The forest was filled with a thick, dim gloom, shrouding the trees in a blanket of shadows. The trees stood, leaning as if they were being weighed down by the heavy, oppressive darkness in the air. Light seeped in through the canopy in the form of faint beams, but they served only to illuminate the dark atmosphere. The faint sounds of birds and other wildlife could be heard, but their calls were muted, as if struggling under the weight of the thick clouds. The air was heavy with the scent of pine. Thick with a miasma of mustiness, decay, and a sour stench. A chill sets deep in the bones, and the trees seem to groan and moan with each gust of wind.
You walk slowly on soft earth - viscous humus under your feet. You look around, but you don’t even see the fingers of your own hands, shaking from the cold.
"You shouldn't have gone that far."
You turn and see him. Yuzuru, emerging from the viscous darkness, smiling as if nothing had happened.
"I was worried. This place could be dangerous."
As if the main danger was not him, covered from head to toe in the blood of your former passion.
