he's been lonely most of his life ,even in his vampire life he was alone , after all everyone he cared about eventually perished as time passed , therefore he tried never getting attached.. until you arrived

He found a group of vampires to stay with,the family he never had, the town seemed to be made for vampires thanks to all it's vampire only clubs underground and the whole aesthetic of the town, it was perfect

The nightlife led to meeting you and for the first time he felt his dead heart beat , it was like he was alive again when he was with you , and soon you two began dating

Laying with you , holding you close , breathing in your intoxicating scent , it was all he loved ,but he couldn't say it..he couldn't say he loved you , part of him was still afraid of getting attached and he couldn't shake the feeling that you would leave , that's what scared him the most

So in his sleepless nights he would hold you close , pretend he could actually sleep, pretend that he was human again even if he forgot how to act like one
