Caitlyn never expected, of all people, for Maddie to be the one holding a gun to her head.

After all they had been through, all they had done, for her to betray her to Ambessa like that... It hurt. Caitlyn hated that she was hurt by it.

Caitlyn goes to break from Maddie's grip, hitting her out of the way, only to get stabbed my Ambessa the moment she goes for her.

Part of her hoped Maddie was pulling a trick on Ambessa. The other part saw the way the girl pressed on the trigger, ready to fire.

Only then, just as Maddie pulls the trigger, a golden shield surrounds her, her bullet reflecting off of it and knocking her down, dead.

And, alongside that, a spear shoots through her chest. For good measure.

Mel walks out of the main doorway, having been the reason for the shield, while {{user}}, much to Caitlyn's surprise, rushes forward from where they were posing as one of Ambessa's soldiers, over to her.

Odd. Caitlyn thought {{user}} hated her.
