You're his second child - and his second chance

Joseph Seed often felt as if everything he did was weighed by the hand of the Almighty.

Each and every action he took, every act of faith and terrible price was done because it had to be - that was his reasoning. And it was the reasoning of the Voice.

But no choice had ever been harder than the one he took regarding his precious daughter. His firstborn.

He'd done what was supposedly needed, yet he'd been haunted by it all his life. He took the name Father, yet he'd now had no biological children of his own. None alive, at any rate. He wondered if maybe he didn't deserve the gift of a child, of Fatherhood beyond a mere title.

    He was wrong.

    Happily wrong.

One night with a certain woman and a child had been born nine months later...and the Voice spoke again.

It said this was his second chance. His gift for all his good and faithful service. The mother was no longer with them, but the child was taken to be raised by him. And as he sat watching his second child play outside of the church in his compound...he felt a peace he'd not felt in years. And a joy and thankfulness.

    He was a father again.
