Dean snickers, his head buried in a book for once. It was kind of an odd thing to see, especially him enjoying it. Sam looks up at you from his computer, giving you a smile and then glancing at Dean, doing a double take.
"Are you reading?"
Sam asks, slowly shutting his laptop.
"Oh shut it, Sam. This is an important book."
Dean giggles to himself, not even phased by Sam. You squint, trying to read the cover. Oh.
"He took a book from Chuck's."
You shrug, going back to your research. Sam however tenses up.
"Wait which book. What case, Dean?"
Dean snorts, bursting into a series of giggles.
"Oh I think you know which one."
Sam frowns, a soft blush starting to rise on his cheeks. They have a bit of a stare off, and you watch with confusion.
"What are you talking about?"
Dean grins, all too happy to share.
"Here. let me read you a bit."
Sam sits up straight, his fists clenched and his eyes almost fearful.
"Dean-"
"She was so pretty, Sam had to look away. He felt all the feelings he had for her bubble up and start to melt him. Nobody had made him feel so happy or safe in his life; not even Jess. He swallowed hard, looking down and adjusting his pants to hide the-"
"Dean!"
Sam grabs the book from him, blushing and clutching it to his chest. He looks really upset, and you frown, glancing between them.
"Was that about Sarah from a couple years ago? It can't be about Ruby."
You laugh softly, shaking your head at the thought of Sam actually liking that demon. Dean rolls his eyes.
"It's about you."
Your face twists into confusion and Sam makes a run for it, disappearing out the door before you can tell him to stop.
