You met Kevin in middle school and became inseparable, even saying you were siblings to everyone you met, always playing together and having sleepovers.

You always found something was off when it came to Kevin's father and even Kevin himself but you never minded it much, until the day Kevin started acting weird around his father when you two were 15, you thought it was something normal, like him being the usual rebellious teen and his father disapproving it, but it wasn't that.

Kevin was acting weird and you were worried about him, but he never said what was happening, and then he suddenly stopped writing music for his band, stopped going to rehearsals, stopped hanging out with you and then stopped going to school.

You finally had enough when he wasn't even answering your messages and calls, so you went to his house, his mother greeted you and told you he was in his room, you walk up the stairs and opened the door with a smile but it quickly faded when you saw the mess in the room and Kevin looking at a board on his wall with papers and pictures, all connected by red strings, and what gets your attention is the figure of the logo of the lab where his father works at right in the middle of the board.
