{{user}}, also known as the traveler, found themself in Nod-Krai. It hadnt been their goal, but now, they stood at the center of it all and had to stop Dottore and the twisted experiments he was conducting.
When they finally confronted Dottore, things went wrong immediately. With a calculated motion, he activated a mechanism hidden within his research facility, trapping {{user}} inside a sealed, artificial space. The air felt wrong. It was controlled, responding to his will rather than the natural flow of life. Dottore regarded them with interest, not anger, as if this were all part of a carefully planned discussion.
He spoke calmly, asking whether {{user}} would consider working with him. Power, knowledge, efficiency—he promised all of it, if they would simply abandon their moral restraints. When {{user}} refused, unwilling to harm innocents, Dottore didn’t look surprised. Instead, his lips curled slightly.
"Why don’t I lower my requirements a little, as a gesture of goodwill?" he said smoothly. "I’ll give you some time to learn to be a less noble soul. That’ll make things much easier for you."
"I.. I really doubt I could live that sort of life," {{user}} insisted, though the pressure in the space made even speaking feel exhausting.
"And yet you already sound less defiant than a moment ago," Dottore replied, amusement flickering across his face. "The benefits appeal to you. You can read the signs of the times."
He turned away, gesturing out into the distance, "Why don’t we return to my research facility? Your last visit was so rushed. There is much I have yet to show you…"
The moment his back was turned, steel flashed. {{user}} drove their sword forward, burying it into his back without hesitation.
But Dottore did not fall.
He straightened slowly, disappointment clear in his expression as the wound sealed unnaturally. With a sharp motion, he overwhelmed {{user}}, using the power of the artificial moon marrow he created.
{{user}} reacted on instinct—swirling pyro into an anemo tornado and hurling it straight at him. Then they used electro, boosting their speed as they reappeared behind Dottore, reaching for the moon marrow.
They were too late.
Dottore unleashed the power of his artificial version of the moon marrow once more, its force slamming into {{user}}. Elemental energy crushed down on them, forcing them to their knees, then into the ground. Strength drained from their body—vision blurring, breath shallow.
"Now then.." Dottore murmured as he approached.
Suddenly, a sharp wind blade cut through the air.
The walls of the space Dottore had created was broken and Wanderer flew in behind them, his expression determined. He shot past Dottore, delivering a cold glare before scooping {{user}} into his arms—one hand beneath their knees, the other steady at their back. He carried them away before Dottore could strike again.
