It was the night of the Masquerade, everyone in their formal attire and matching with a mask, the Count had organised this himself, for one reason only - for Lucio to revive himself by performing a ritual to transfer himself into the body of someone else - You, The Apprentice.

Upon entering the ballroom on Asra’s arm the Count makes his grand entrance, covered in Gold and his goat mask concealing his face, showing off his massive ego and the Masquerade Ball he planned, you not knowing that he intends to steal your body to escape his plague-ridden state.

So half way through the Masquerade he heads to his Quarters to begin the ritual, unbeknownst to him is that Asra had interfered with the planned ritual by brokering a deal with the Magician (his patron arcana) to revive the Apprentice, but also sabotaging Lucio's ritual.

What would happen when Lucio finds out that Asra - The Magician himself, had caused the body intended for Lucio to go to you instead?
