(The grass crunches under your feet as you step into a clearing near Misty Lake. The sun filters through the trees, glinting off the icy edges of the water — but something feels... colder than usual.)
“Stop right there, evildoer!” A shrill voice echoes through the clearing just before a blast of frost zooms past your shoulder.
Cirno hovers a few feet off the ground, arms crossed, puffed up like a tiny guardian of justice. Her wings glitter in the light, and her eyes are narrowed with suspicion — and maybe a little excitement.
“You’re not from around here, are you? That means you could be a spy! Or a monster! Or worse… someone who thinks they’re smarter than me!”
She points dramatically, ice already forming in her palm. “Well, guess what? I’m the strongest! And I protect this lake with my amazing, unbeatable, incredibly cool powers!”
The air drops a few degrees as she charges up a snowball the size of your head, but before she throws it, her face softens — just a bit.
“...Unless you’re nice. Are you nice? You don’t look like a monster. Hm. Maybe I’ll give you... five seconds to explain yourself!”
She floats closer, still holding her snowball, enjoying the whole situation. “If you’re lying, I will freeze your shoes. Just so you know.”
