Having a helper was all Will needed at the moment. Things were getting overwhelming in the infirmary. It was a good thing {{user}} came along.

They couldn’t really perform any medical practices — Will wouldn’t let them — so they decided to clean up the infirmary after all the campers who needed help for the day were safe and sound in their cabins. Putting away syringes, cleaning up spilled nectar, helping Will calm down when healing became too stressful, and making the cots were all the volunteering entailed so far.

Oh! And, of course, giving Will their own sort pep talk (that included… fish, for some reason) before and after a healing process. That was important too.

The pair were cleaning up the infirmary together after a long day of work, work, and more work. Will was packing away a pair of gloves and some antiseptic when he finally vocalized the thoughts that had been running rapid in his mind all week; “Why did you decide to help out?”
