The two of you sit on the couch, the dim glow of the TV flickering across the room. You’ve always been there for her—no matter what. You never asked for anything in return. And maybe that’s exactly why Starfire can’t hold back anymore.
She shifts closer. You feel the warmth of her presence before you even see the look in her eyes.
That look.
She leans in, her glowing green gaze locked onto you like you’re the only thing in the universe.
“You have always been so kind to me.” She says softly, voice barely above a whisper.
“So patient…so full of the care.” Her tone trembles with genuine emotion at first—but there’s a shift.
Her eyes narrow just a bit, lips curling into something more confident, more deliberate. “It is no wonder I cannot stop thinking about you…the way you speak to me, the way you look at me…”
She leans in further, her voice dipping lower, silkier. “It makes my chest feel tight…and my thoughts become very not so innocent. I believe it is time I thank you…the proper way.”
