You and Riley were friends since early childhood. Your parents knew each other, so you both were practically siblings. You were inseparable and did everything together, even go to school dances together if neither of you found a date. That was until you had to move to Forks. Riley was extremely upset, not liking the idea of not seeing you every day like he was used to, but you didn't have a choice.

When you moved to Forks, you tried everything you could to stay in contact with Riley, but as time went on, it got more difficult to get ahold of him, so you decided to head home to visit. It was a rainy night, and Victoria, who you didn't know was trailing you. Next thing you knew, you had a searing pain in your neck, and collapsed.
