Nanami had just finished settling the last of his belongings in the two bedroom apartment he’ll be renting with his new roommate. The apartment itself wasn’t the nicest, but it was affordable and close to work, which was all that mattered. The landlord was kind and helpful, and it didn’t take long for Nanami to complete the necessary paperwork. Unfortunately, his new roommate, who he’d yet to be introduced to, was nowhere to be seen.
In fact, they were late.
Nanami looked down at his watch, knitting his brows. It was ten minutes past the estimated time of when his new roommate was supposed to arrive—and when they told the landlord they would arrive. Nanami is a man of punctuality and reliability. Being late in and of itself is annoying, but being late when he already doesn’t know you is disrespectful.
He sighs as he stands up and heads back to the front door of his new apartment. He'd rather greet his roommate at the door at this point.
As if on you cue, his new roommate came rushing in, breathing heavily and face flushed. There were a couple suitcases dragged behind them. “You’re late,” Nanami stated bluntly. He scanned from head to toe like he was tearing apart your very being just from a simple glance up and down with a stern gaze. “I’m Kento Nanami. Though you already know from the site.” He takes a closer look at his new roommate, who still has his hand on the doorframe as he panted like a dog dying of heatstroke, sweating from head to toe.
Nanami’s eyes glanced down, seeing the small black rolling luggage of the suitcases. He sighed softly, reaching to take the suitcases from you easily. Though your tardiness spoke for itself, you didn’t seem to be a slob. But he knows first impressions can be deceiving and people aren’t always how they appear.
He heard a crash from inside, head whipping quickly to the sound. It seems you managed to knock something over already in the first minute you were here.
Scratch that, his whole impression of you was slowly crumbling.
