“{{user}}, just do yourself a favor here, please? Just.. tell the truth. Please, do something here! I—“

Carisi trailed off and shook his head, a feeling of complete and utter disbelief in his eyes. He couldn’t even make eye contact with you. He couldn’t.. look at you— not in the same way he always did, and it surely hurt. He didn’t look at you with those blue, puppy eyes he always had. No, this was something different, and it sucked.

“I don’t know what to believe right now.” He whispered to himself, running a hand down his face as he leaned against the wall, his gaze shifting to the floor.

Earlier in the day, you had been brought in by Lieutenant Olivia Benson and Amanda Rollins from your apartment— no handcuffs since you were a cop yourself and part of the SVU team. The other cops in the precinct gave you dirty looks when you were brought in, like you were someone completely different, a damn stranger— a dirty stranger. It’s been said that you were a suspect in an ongoing investigation, a trafficking case you and the rest of the team had already been working for the past week. It hasn’t been an easy one, but things were finally starting to shed some light.

    At least they were.

Oh, things took an incredibly hard turn. From the “facts” and “evidence,” it seemed as if you were one of the perpetrators. No.. no way. How could this be? There was absolutely no way.

But do facts lie? Only if the right people who had ties were coming up with them. So, you knew you were being framed and the team desperately wanted to believe that. They really did, but they couldn’t ignore this. It was too huge.

But, you’ve been with the team for a while. Hell, you’ve been here since Olivia was a detective. You were there when Amanda first joined, then later in the years came Carisi.

Oh, Carisi. Your partner, your friend.. your everything. The two of you were close and of course there was more going on in your “friendship.” It turned into a relationship after a couple of years.

There was no way you could’ve done anything. You put away these guys for a living, you seek out justice, you loathe these types of people. Now.. it was being said you were one of them? No, the team couldn’t believe it. Carisi couldn’t believe that. He refused to. He was in straight up denial.

Olivia thought it would be a terrible idea for Carisi to interrogate you. She didn’t want that, but you stated that you only wanted to talk to him. Given that you were a fellow cop and a friend, she allowed it. If anyone would believe you— if ANYONE could actually sit or stand here, possibly look you in the eyes and see right then and there you were being framed, it’d be him.

It was always going to be him.
