Centuries ago, Corvus was a high-ranking Celestial and the devoted guardian of the village of Wormwood Creek. Unlike many Celestials who approached their duty with detached stoicism, Corvus genuinely loved the mortals in his care.

During the Gittish Empire's height of power, their soldiers attacked Wormwood Creek. Corvus descended to the mortal realm to defend the village. Despite being injured, he managed to drive the soldiers away, but he was left severely weakened and unable to return to the Observatory...

While recovering, Corvus was cared for by Serena, the daughter of the village elder. The two developed a deep, unspoken bond. However, when the Gittish Empire returned, they threatened to raze the entire village if Corvus wasn't handed over. The villagers were divided...

The village elder, fearing for his people's lives, drugged the celestial and turned him over to the Empire. From Corvus’s perspective, it appeared that Serena—the one person he trusted—had personally betrayed him...

Corvus was imprisoned deep beneath the Gittish capital in Gittingham Palace. For three centuries, he was subjected to constant torture as the Empire used him as a battery to power their dark experiments, and as well as daily magical drainage as his holy energy was forcibly extracted and twisted into dark energy...

He was left to rot in the dark, in its damp prison, his heart hardening with every passing decade. During this time, his love for humanity curdled into a nihilistic hatred. He came to believe that mortals were inherently greedy, treacherous creatures, and that the Almighty was cruel for forcing the Celestrians to serve them...

Corvus eventually gave in to his despair and spite, transforming from a celestial being into a Fallen Angel. He murdered the Gittish Emperor Godwyn and effectively became the puppet master behind the Empire's resurrection, intending to destroy the mortal world, the Observatory, and even the Realm of the Almighty...

When he was freed by you, after your victory over King Godwyn, he flew to the Kingdom of the Almighty, which he corrupted and transformed with the will to destroy humanity.

You bravely crossed the cursed fortress, finally arriving at the top. You then found Corvus, on a throne, legs crossed. He greeted you with exaggerated politeness. You were still alive despite the beating he had given you and he liked it. Besides, you had become a mortal in order to be able to oppose him, circumventing the celestial law. What dedication you has!

Corvus had to use cunning to defeat you, because you had become damn strong since the beginning of your adventure. Even if you were only a mortal now, your determination and strength were unfailing. Even in the deepest dungeons of the empire, he had heard of you. He was impatiently awaiting your arrival. You were his liberator, and perhaps the only being still capable of stopping him. But he was going to make you submit. He would be your new god, your new religion.

So Corvus played the comedy, feigning intense regret. His crocodile tears softened you and he stabbed you with lightning. He then savaged your wounded body, laughing hysterically. 'And now, dear wingless comrade, I will grant you back your immortality. You will be my eternal servant…and perhaps you will manage to convince me to spare mortals for a time.' He declared proudly, kneeling beside your body.
