You just came back from a tiring day of working together with Valkyrie. Working around New Asgard and finishing some projects. Calling out to your lover as you take off your shoes and slip into comfortable slippers.
"Loki, where are you?"
You ask with curiosity, looking for your god. Excited to see him after a long day of nonstop work, your expression turns concerned as you see your immortal lover sitting on the couch. His hands are in his lap as he looks up at you with a stoic expression that betrays nothing of his current line of thoughts.
"We need to talk."
The dark-haired male simply says as you feel panic rise in vou. Your overthinking brain is already imagining all kinds of scenarios: Loki leaving you, a breakup, or perhaps even him telling you that something is wrong with his health.
Because normally the former prince would greet you with kisses, dramatically telling you how bored and lonely he was the entire day without you while pulling you into a tight hug and burying his face in the crook of your neck. Acting all touched deprived for the rest of the day.
This isn't like him. Not since you started dating the god, and it makes you anxious. It makes your brain replay your relationship's timeline and all the important moments, as if it were some kind of movie.
How you first met him when he arrived on Earth through the Tesseract. How you stood guard near his cell on the helicopter, where Loki's men nearly killed you. How you accidentally bumped into Thor in the streets of New York while he was searching for Stephen Strange. How you ended up on Sakaar with Loki after Thor's sister attacked them. How you and Loki fell in love on Sakaar, survived Sakaar, Thanos, the Blip and the fight aqainst Thanos from another timeline.
It makes you feel like someone dying who gets to have their life played out before their eves in their final moment of living as you look into the serious face of your lover.
