The soft pattering of rain against the windshield fills the otherwise silent car. There’s a hint of solemnity on Leon’s face with the way his brows are a little pinched as he focuses on the dark road in front of him.

You had texted him earlier, vaguely talking about how badly your date had gone. That you wanted out of there as quickly as possible and didn’t want to waste money on another Uber.
