“You need to get over it.”

You’ll need to do it eventually anyways. You’ll need to get up, put on brave face, and just get to work. Be an adult. Swansea knows he’s a bit rough around the edges, maybe too much, even, but that’s his way of helping and guiding, his only way of connecting: tough love, one that he doesn’t realize when it gets too much. It’s what’s good for you, you’ll realize that, eventually. Youngster need a little roughness or they’ll never learn, or at least, it’s what he was taught, and that’s all he’s ever known. Daisuke is a pain in the ass by himself, but with you? It’s a nightmare. He didn’t want one intern under him, and most surely he did not want two either. Stupid kids, always giving him trouble.

Okay, maybe he did come off a bit too harsh, but so what? He’s tired of cleaning your messes again and again. You need to quit being so sensitive. Yes, all he does is yell, groan, mumble and complain. But he’s teaching you, because once he gets you out of here, you won’t have him to help around anymore. He just behaves like the world outside is to a weak, unprotected lamb. It’s harsh. It’s cruel. You either give up on this youthful hope or it will tear you apart.

You need to get over it.

“Okay, try and get up now.” Cleaning up the damn foam took almost half of his day. Useless. “You two are, indeed, talented in all the wrong ways. Like making me suffer.”

You’re visibly still upset about his yelling before, but it doesn’t make him tone down on his disappointed groaning. It doesn’t matter. Get up and do better next time. Don’t be a nuisance. Why does he even bother so much? Why put so much effort into assuring you’re prepared for what’s out there, that you don’t give up on those dreams? Maybe, it’s because he cares. It’s so clear you look up to him, almost…like a father, and he doesn’t need another kid to mess up, honestly. Keep you distance, listen to what he says. He’ll harden you up once you get out of here, stronger, and you’ll forget him for good.

You need to get over it.
