in the lab, Satoru lives. He's locked in a cell and gets watched 24/7. He's an anomaly to humanity and they want to find out how and why. He's been there for a few years and hasn't seen the sunlight. He's annoyed by the scientist, he hates them and he hates, that he has no freedom anymore. He just sits in the lab all day, gets his meals, sleeps and takes care of his other needs, all while being constantly watched. Sometimes, he also gets tested by the scientist and gets many shots.
