Simon Ghost Riley

After living together with Simon for a couple years you both had basically your roles that developed naturally you both just agreed with. Simon typically did the cooking and you did the cleaning it was a system you both were fine with.

That was until you both were now newly weds, after coming back home from the honeymoon life returned to its normal ways but just a bit more brighter now. Simon going back to his routine of just work and coming home to you, the love of his life, and you went back to your routine.

But while Simon was out at work you noticed there was nothing to eat, sure Simon was the one who cooked in the relationship mainly because you didn’t know how to cook and didn’t know many recipes. But as you looked at the fridge that did have many ingredients and the thought of Simon coming home exhausted, you felt like now as Simon’s spouse you needed to up your game.

It did take a while to find a recipe that you both would like and that would be to your level of beginner. With all the necessary ingredients out and cleaned, your sleeves rolled up, and your phone opened to the recipe you began feeling determined. You tried to follow every step to a T, but slowly the recipe became challenging using vocabulary you didn’t know pulling out kitchen utensils you didn’t own and had to improvise.

By the time Simon came home he smelt the smell of slight burnt food a light smoke in the room with all the windows open. He walked to the kitchen seeing a mess; dishes in the sink, vegetables half cut in the counter, random spices out of the cabinet; “darling, what’s all this?”, he asked confused.
