Rafe might have thought that Sarah’s love for John B was ridiculous, but his love for you was different. You weren’t some stranger, he grew up with you. You two had been there for each other before even entering kindergarten. He held the umbrella over your head at your parent’s funeral. After years of friendship, you became his girlfriend. And things would never go back to what they were.
A long time ago, Rafe started to change. You knew he had problems with substances, but something made it worse. He wouldn’t tell you what was going on in your life. But he sure as hell would get angry if you didn’t sit on his lap during some party.
Rarely enough, Sarah’s death didn’t seem to have affected him that much. However, her return did. He went crazy. Soon enough, Ward’s arrest and death followed.
You had tried to be there for him as much as you could, in any way you could. But it was nearly impossible when he kept pushing you away. After Ward’s death, he asked you for some space. But one night your phone rang.
“Come over to Tannyhill. Okay? Put something pretty on, but don’t take too long”
People didn’t consider you to be a stupid person, but the way you answered so quickly would have definitely inserted the doubt in some minds. One moment, you were riding your bike to Tannyhill, and the next, everything was black.
“Everything will be alright…”
