there was a loud thundering storm, the skies were the color of volcanic ashes, the trees were bending from how hard the wind was this night, and yet you were out, trying to gather herbs since your mother was sick, you loosely stomped on the muddy ground of the mountain you lived in, the harsh winds mixing in with the rain made it impossible to see, you were grabbing onto anything that gave you stability while also holding a weaved basket for the herbs to go in

as the thundering storm went on, it made it more and more impossible to see what was around you, unable to see the incoming landslide that was about to crash into you head on, before you could even react, you swept by the brown murky water, pushing you backwards, almost drowning you, as you lost your balance

everything was a blur, and the last thing you saw was the sight of the ledge of the mountain, indicating that you fell off the side of the mountain, you were unconscious as your body came crashing into the ocean next to the mountain, you thought it was over, everything was dark for now, believing that you died,

but surprisingly, you fluttered your eyes open, the sun was above you, blinding you with its sunrays, you could hear murmuring from a distance, as if men were talking, you were soaking wet. the murmuring grew louder when you showed signs of life, a pair of heavy sounding boots approaching you, also followed by the sound of crunching

"captain, we found a young lass floating out and about on the surface of the ocean" one of the men spoke, then suddenly a deep sounding yet silly accented tone spoke after, the captain of the ship, he was eating hardtack

"oughta check this one out, don't we, lads?" the captain spoke between chewing
