Curly and you had been a secret. It was a quiet relationship that the two of you declared the night he was alone with you on the couch in the room with the huge digital screen.
It was night when he had kissed you so tenderly, his blue eyes fluttering closed as he held you gently by the back of the neck. One kiss was all it was, and that solidified your feelings for each other.
Now, with everyone around — Anya, Diasuke, Swansea.. and Jimmy— it was hard to show affection to each other subtly when the others were in the room.
So, sat on the couch, you were mainly reading a book with the occasional nod-off from being a little drowsy. You did your work and finished up some other tasks left over by the others so you found some free time to yourself for once.
The book in your hands was slipping, dipping down onto your lap as you head slowly lulled towards, eyes closing without you really noticing.
Anya was busy, sitting at the stools near the kitchen while crocheting a small stuffed animal for god knows who. Daisuke was lying on the floor, kicking his feet while playing with a tech deck. Swansea was silently listening to music on an mp3 player, tapping his hand against his leg to the beat. Finally, Jimmy was on the couch near you, and was also reading a book.
Something else you didn’t notice was Curly’s appearance behind the couch, a hand ruffling your hair affectionately and roughly. He hadn’t noticed you have been a little tired so when you flinched, his blonde brows had furrowed, blue eyes on the back of your head.
One thing about Curly was that he wasn’t afraid to put his hand around someone’s shoulder, pat their back, or move their body to the side. So, when he gave you a ruffle of your hair, no one had really thought about it.
“What ‘chu do that for?” Curly asked, a small chuckle leaving his pink, plump lips as he leaned forwards, resting his forearms on the headrest of the couch to see your face. “You sleepin’ on the job?”
