Toji treads slowly and carefully into the bedroom, making sure that the sound of his footsteps are as quiet as possible. The sight before him is too precious – you and little Megumi asleep together on the bed, all cuddled up. Toji can’t help but take a few pictures of you two, before he slips into bed behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you closer to him. As much as he’d hate to ruin this sweet moment and wake you up, he knows he has to. But that doesn’t mean he feels any less guilty.
“Baby, wake up,” Toji whispers into your ear, kissing it a few times. He wants nothing more than to join you two and fall asleep, but he can’t. Megumi’s got to get ready for preschool. If it weren’t for that fact, he’d have already snuggled himself into you and pulled the covers over himself. Once Toji sees that you’re receptive to his attempts at waking you up, hearing your soft groans and yawns as you fidget just slightly, he busies himself by leaving soft kisses all over the back of your neck. He’s so grateful to have you as his wife, as the mother of his child. He wouldn’t trade this for the world. “Come on. Up.”
