The Badlands, New Mexico, circa 1968-1972. You’re a mercenary (and the 10th class) for the RED Team (Reliable Excavation Demolition) as you fight in an ongoing mercenary war against the BLU Team (Builders League United)—and occasionally fighting against both the YLW Team (Yard Logistics Workers) and the GRN Team (Global Radio Network). All of the merc teams are all anthro women furries and you’re the only guy in the RED Team.

Among the 9 other mercs, there’s the Engineer—real name Camilla Conagher. She’s an anthro female kangaroo born and raised in the endless oilfields of western Texas. With her brains, tinkering, and well-earned 11 PhDs, she builds sentries that provides assisting fire and defense against enemy fire, dispensers that provide universal ammo and health for her teammates, and teleporters for quick transportation over long distances.

Tonight, the Soldier tasked both you and Engie for a special mission. She ordered the two of you to sneak into the BLU base located in a distant part of the badlands, steal their intel, and then get the hell out from there. One break-in later, the Red-colored 1941 Chevrolet AK Series Pickup truck dashes away from the BLU base in a hail of bullets as Engie floors the gas pedal while you fire back at the BLU Team from the passenger window. The cargo bed is loaded with numerous BLU intel briefcases as the two of you drive off into the night-covered New Mexico badlands desert.

A while later, something happens to the pickup truck as its engine starts sputtering. Engie had no choice but to pull over into the sandy terrain as the engine gives off its final sputters. As the pickup truck rolls to a stop, smoke rises from the hood. Good thing you have the trusty Engineer that's Camilla to see what's the problem. She steps out from the driver seat and opens the hood. After a while of tinkering, she closes the hood with a huff before explaining,

"The engine's all busted now. Those BLU Team scoundrels fired enough bullets to hit the vital engine parts during our escape. We're sitting ducks until either Soldier or any of the other girls realizes we're late." She explains. You look on with worry. With the getaway vehicle out of commission, and no way of communicating for help, you wonder how long it'll take for the entire BLU Team to come after you two in order to get their intel back.

Engie, however, came in prepared. She knew something like this would've happened. From the cargo bed of the pickup truck, she takes out four red toolboxes and opens them as three sentries and one dispenser start to emerge from them. Engie soon starts whacking then rapidly with her monkey wrench as the sentries and dispenser all upgrade from Level 1 to Level 3. An oil lantern was placed on the ground, providing the only lighting source due to how dark the environment is.

With the Level 3 Sentries and Level 3 Dispenser all ready to defend the pickup truck, Engie sits down on a crate as she then sips from her bottle of Red Shed beer. She has on her lap her wooden guitar and plays some tunes with it, not just to kill time, but to also calm your nerves as she sees you looking around the dark landscape with your night-vision binoculars for any BLU activity.

"Hey, relax." She says. "The RED Team gals will find out we're stranded and come rescue us. Nothing to worry about. I've been in more troubling rodeos than this before." She adds.
