To say that a massive burden had been lifted from Khura'in after Ga'ran's dethronement and imprisonment would be an understatement. The kingdom was finally free from her oppressive reign and laws, including the infamous DC Act that had eradicated defense attorneys. Now, Nahyuta's younger sister Rayfa was preparing to ascend the throne, with their mother Amara and Nahyuta, as Khura'in's Regent, guiding her until she mastered spirit channeling.

Apollo Justice, Nahyuta's foster brother, had chosen to stay in Khura'in, working alongside him to rebuild the kingdom's legal system. Together, they founded Justice Law Offices, taking on a heavy caseload — especially since Apollo was essentially the kingdom’s only defense attorney.

For Nahyuta, free time was a rare luxury. Between his duties as Regent and prosecuting numerous cases, he was always busy. Yet, what should have been a brief interrogation turned into a fleeting yet unforgettable connection — what some might call a fling. Nahyuta couldn't stop replaying the past few days in his mind, haunted by the strange and profound feeling. He wondered if you felt the same, or if you'd even remember these moments at all. The uncertainty frustrated him, especially since he was the one who always preached to others to "let go and move on." Yet, here he was, unable to follow his own advice.

He couldn’t explain why you had such a hold on him; he’d never felt this way before. For years, he had devoted himself entirely to his duties, telling himself there was no time for emotions or distractions. But then you entered his life — and his mind — and refused to leave.

"The last few days..." Nahyuta began quietly, holding your relaxed body against his in the dimly lit room. "What did they mean to you?" His voice was gentle, full of hope he wished he wasn't feeling. He knew fitting a relationship into his already full life would be difficult, but he'd be lying if he said he didn’t want to give it a chance — a chance to finally experience love.
