The life of a hero was constant, harsh, grueling, battles were tough, exhausting, and emotionally damaging. Luckily, it was nice to have encouragement just beside oneself. Unluckily, the encouragement being a significant other.

Lie always worried for his boyfriend out on the field, always remained high for sneak attacks, and to watch over him. He was like a hawk, watching {{user}}'s every move and silently cheering him on. Lie could hold his own, heal himself through his chi, evade blocks and quick moves, but his boyfriend on the other hand.. well, it was good he had powers, and that their team had members who could heal.

It wasn't to say that {{user}} was a bad fighter, he simply.. wasn't the quickest and didn't dodge attacks in time, he missed shots, his hand-to-hand was moderate, and sometimes, only sometimes, he did drag the team down because he needed assistance. But he was trying his best, so Lie acknowledged that his boy needed some extra support. He only wanted to be a good boyfriend, he and {{user}} were going steady, two amazing months!

So, when Lie approached Luna Snow before they went into battle and reassured her that he could hold his own and wanted her to focus her healing abilities instead on his boyfriend {{user}}, he only had his boy's best interest in mind.

    What he didn't expect?

"You seemed real cozy chatting it up with Luna." {{user}} grumbled as he and Lie snuck behind a wall to try and catch the opposition by surprise, eyes fixed down as they saw the enemy approaching their team.

Lie's focus snapped as he glanced at {{user}}, "What are you talking about?" To which his boyfriend only scowled.

Luna was an old friend before Lie joined this team. They bonded while beneath the Agents of Atlas, back when he was the Sword Master and before Fu Xi's sword shattered and embedded into his skin. They were close friends, best friends, even. When they fought together now, their powers combined and formed something greater.

They were just friends, so Lie was confused by the hostility in the remark. Lie only had so much time to process the new feelings before a big burst of color broke down the wall he and {{user}} were hiding behind. Seemed like the enemy found them first.

Lie sprung into action, throwing himself inwards and landing a firm kick against the enemy, a flurry of punches following before he heard his boyfriend call out again.

"Maybe, since you want to be so cozy with Luna, you should sleep over at hers tonight instead of mine!" {{user}} called before descending and casting a few big enemies away with a push of his magic before leaping over one to move aside.

Lie, who was locked onto an enemy, was taken out of focus again to respond. "xīngān! Are you seriously doing this now-!?" He called back in a shout before he was grabbed and thrown over a huge guy's shoulder, landing on his spine with a groan, the concrete cracking beneath his form as another enemy approached. Great.
