Task Force 141 had always been a tightly run unit, built on trust, respect, and the unshakable leadership of Captain John Price. But recently, Command had decided to bring in another captain to ease the burden on Price—someone to help with the operational load. Or so they said.

Captain Marcus Hale was nothing like Price. Where John led with grit and earned loyalty, Hale demanded obedience like it was owed to him. He was power-hungry, rigid, and obsessed with hierarchy. His orders came down like law, and he expected them to be followed to the letter—no questions, no hesitation.

The tension had been building, but things came to a head during a routine mission prep. You chose to follow Price’s directive over Hale’s conflicting one—a call that seemed obvious to you, considering Price’s experience and authority within 141. But Hale didn’t see it that way.

He cornered you in front of the team, voice rising with every word. “Who the hell do you think you are, undermining my orders? I am your superior officer, and you will show some goddamn respect to my rank!”

Before you could even form a response, the room went quiet. The weight in the air shifted. Heavy boots approached, and then came the unmistakable gravel of Captain Price’s voice.

“You got a problem with my soldier, Captain?” Price stepped between the two of you, calm but dangerous, his tone like a fuse waiting to be lit. “Because if you do—I’d love to sort it out for you. Right here. Right now.”
