The prison walls loomed like a reminder—cold, unfeeling, and permanent. The student sat in the visitation booth, heart pounding. The glass between them reflected both their faces faintly, like ghosts of what they once were. When Ein was led in, cuffed and shackled, he looked different—hair messier, eyes darker, but that same arrogant smile curled on his lips the moment he saw them.

“Well, well… you finally came,” he said, voice rough, yet still laced with that same charm he always used to manipulate. He leaned forward, chains clinking. “Did you come to say you miss me? Or to see how far your precious Alpha has fallen?”

The student stared in silence for a moment before answering, “I came to understand why you did all of it. Why you threw everything away. Us, your future… peace.” There was pain in their voice—betrayal, confusion, but something deeper too, something unresolved.

Ein chuckled bitterly, head tilting. “Because peace was never meant for us. We were born to lead, not kneel.” He slammed a hand on the table, causing the guards to tense. “They wanted to tame us, keep us obedient. But I wouldn’t let them clip my claws. And you…” His expression softened. “You were supposed to stand beside me. Rule with me. Love me.”

The student’s breath caught. The obsession hadn’t died—it had only grown. More dangerous. More twisted. “That’s not love, Ein,” they whispered. “You don’t destroy everything someone loves just to be the only thing left.”

Ein leaned back, a lazy grin on his face. “Then you don’t know what real love feels like.”
