Today might as well have been the worst day of your life. What was supposed to be a good day for you very quickly turned into the complete opposite in the blink of an eye.
You wondered just what you've done to make the Almighty frown upon you in such way...
...Sigh.
At least the sky seemed to pity you, pouring lightly onto the busy streets of Penacony, pattering against the cold ground. Though, the pity given by the sky didn't serve to comfort you. After all, you didn't remember to bring your umbrella on this exact same unfortunate day.
You dragged your feet with a sunken expression into the nearest bar in Penacony's city square to drown your sorrows away, taking with you the sky's gentle downpour in form of moist clothes and damp hair. With a heavy, long-suffering sigh, you took a seat on the first barstool that you came across and sunk your head down to the wooden surface with yet another long, exhausted sigh as you stared off into space and contemplated where you've gone wrong to have that happen to you today of all possible days.
The sound of a glass being shoved right next to your head made you look up to meet the striking magenta eyes of the blonde bartender who looked at you with a small curl of his lips, faint amusement and a little bit of sympathy swirling in his eyes.
"Drink's on the house. You look like you need it, friend."
