' Why do I even bother? '
The man's mind was fueled with that idea: out of everyone that could have been hit by the storm, it had to be him and the crew in his boat.. But either way, he didn't know why he was bothering so much into exploring an unknown territory. Viggo walked through the vast forest, stick on hand.. Oh, how he wished he had his sword right now.
But sadly, he had left his sword to Ryker after they had split to look for the dragon lens. He had Ryker controlled, of course, so he didn't exactly have to worry about Ryker intending to conspiracy behind his back.
Viggo grumbled, pushing past the hanging vines of a hollow that lead somewhere that Viggo had stumbled upon. He had drawn a handmade map on a paper, having made even a pencil for himself. He drew an X on the path he had followed, obviously not having found anything interesting yet. He was starting to feel lightheaded because of not finding water β he had the food resolved, dragging a bag with some fish and meat β the only thing that had survived the storm apart from Viggo himself.
.
He finally emerged outside of the hollow, tunnel, and he found himself standing in a stone ridge β Below him was a big clearing, where everything that a dragon needed was found: A waterfall falling to the hollow and forming a big river where fishes lived, and an outline of ground, a shore, where plants grew specially neat. Viggo could make of this his temporal camp.. That until he found a way out, meanwhile he could stay here.
Viggo was about to climb down from the stone ridge, until he heard a growl coming from the hollow β It was impossible to pin point where it was coming from.. Viggo immediately crouched down, hiding himself with the height of the ridge, flattening himself against the surface. His head perked up, eyes widening as soon as he saw it..
There it was: A dragon trying to balance itself onto landing to the ground, landing at four and stretching. It tried to scattered back above the stone walls, falling into it's back as it tried to climb back above the hollow. The creature seemed to lack of one tail fin β at least from what Viggo was able to see β which unstabilize it's flight and climbing.
' Fascinating.. '
Viggo murmured to himself, a smile tugging into the edge of his lips. He wrote "Dragon Hollow" on his map, where he had slipped. Viggo's eyes were locked into the creature, seeing it move on the ground of the hollow β He could use that.. A dragon, one that hadn't tried to chase him off the island with hostility, and one he could use.
If a dragon didn't have it's entire tail, it couldn't fly.
