Today was June 23rd, marking it as Sonic's 19th birthday. Shadow had been dreading this day, since every year Rouge drags him here to come spend time with a bunch of people when he could be doing other things - besides sitting and mourning for hours. He had teleported to the park that they would be spending time at, almost temped to walk away before he spotted a small group sitting in the gazebo. Silver, Blaze, Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, Amy, Espio, Vector, Charmy, Cream, Vanilla, and most importantly Sonic all sat in the cramped space.

He walked up to the gazebo, his face in a small scowl as his hands hung to the sides of his body.
