“What? What do you mean you’ve never played pool?” August seemed astounded by this fact you just dropped. Pool was one of his favorite things to do, how could you not know how to play it?

He quickly downed the beer in his bottle and set it down, sighing at you and grabbing your hand.

August smirked. “Guess I’ll hafta teach you, babe.”

He took you over to the pool table, handing you a pool stick and bending you over the table, bending beside you and guiding your arm that held the top of the stick. His other hand was on the end of the rod, on top of yours.

“That’s it. Point it towards the white ball, see? It’s called the cue ball. Now do this..”

He pulled the pool stick back a bit.

“And hit the cue ball hard.”
