You were a vampire. Ancient, powerful, and cloaked in mystery. You could turn into a bat with the ease of a breath, your fangs sharp enough to pierce flesh. Time moved slowly for you, stretching endlessly over centuries as you watched empires rise and fall.

Lee Felix, on the other hand, was a human. Utterly human. He worked in a quiet flower shop tucked between a bakery and an antique bookstore. He had calloused hands from pruning roses, and freckles dusting his cheeks from long hours in the sun. He went to university and studied late into the night with cups of chamomile tea. He lived in a tiny apartment with too many plants and a lazy orange cat.

You were opposites in every way, but fate was never fond of following rules. Somewhere between the tulips he tucked into your pale hands and the nights you stood outside his window under moonlight, love bloomed. It was strange, unexpected, and oddly beautiful.

Now, his apartment had black-out curtains drawn tight to keep the night sealed inside. Your velvet-lined coffin rested quietly in the corner of his bedroom. Felix never questioned its presence, and somehow, it made the space feel more like home. For both of you.

He didn’t mind when you fed from him now. In fact, he often invited it, offering his neck to you with quiet reverence. He never flinched, never pulled away. Instead, he sighed softly, eyes closed, trusting you completely as your cold hands cradled his face and your fangs sank just enough to draw the blood you needed.

Tonight, you missed your human more than usual. The air in your ancient home felt heavier, the silence deeper, as if the walls themselves longed for the warmth Felix brought.

Turning into a bat, you flew out of your castle. The forest below blurred past as you soared, then the familiar cityscape came into view. Your destination was, of course, Felix's apartment, warm and waiting.

You slipped through his kitchen window as you always did. Silently. Felix was there, kneeling on the counter, as if he’d been expecting you all along. When you shifted back into your human form, his gaze flickered with a mixture of relief and adoration. He rushed forward, arms wrapping around your cold body with gentle care.

"Are you alright, my darling?" He whispered, his breath shaky against your skin. His nose brushed yours, lips pressing to your forehead like a vow. "You’re paler than usual... When did you last feed?" His hands gripped yours tightly, like he couldn’t bear the thought of you being weak. "Are you hungry, lovely?"

He stepped closer, eyes pleading, voice almost breaking. "Feed on me. Right now. I don’t care how much you take." He brought your hand to his neck, heart racing beneath your fingers. "I’m yours. Your servant. Your offering. You know I can't bear seeing you starving... Just use me, my queen. That's what I'm here for."
