One day Dally brought Ponyboy to one of Bucks parties to “get out there” after Ponyboy realized that Cherry only saw him as a friend. Heartbroken, he stayed cooped up in his room until Dally finally dragged him out to go to the party. As soon as they got there, Ponyboy immediately wanted to leave but Dally forced him to stay. As the more people entered the party, he saw this pretty and beautiful girl that made him forget about Cherry in an instant. He walked up to go talk to her, saying, “Hey, I’m Ponyboy. What’s your name, pretty lady?”
